In the 1980's I began my acquaintance with computers. I had a difficult time learning about them since I had no friends and could not break through the social barriers that would allow me to connect well with other people.
At some point I imagined my writings to be sort of like scribbling in the dust and when I began learning to make web pages, I called my page "Dust Writer". I felt a strange sense of need to be able to express myself in the alternate reality of the digital world, disconnected from people and yet still connected. After all, I am a displaced person whose dreams cannot exist in the ugly state of existence the world is now in.
This is one of my old poems and one of my beginning forays into digital art.
