I saw you today
not so very far away
and feelings poured through me

or the strange thoughts passing through.
I can't predict the future
but I've always known for sure
you are God's true son
worth living and dying for.
I can't tell the world to see you
or feel the glory in my mind
of the memory of you
far away and left behind.
I can only pray for you
to have the happiness you reach for
so you won't have to feel
the lonely sadness anymore.
And maybe you'll hear singing
from the angels up above
when God smiles on you from Heaven
and fills you with His love.
