fire

Somewhere in the fire the spark of life
ignites or extinguishes darkness and light
knowing no evil knowing no good
No inclination to compare wrong or right
 Without discrimination fire consumes
all but the intangible eternal soul
Traces left are ashes of reduction
origins lost in creation/destruction

Grass is greener

Grass is always greener on the other side
where we can still be taken by vanity and pride

where inspiration seems to be no more or less
than all of the things that bring us happiness

where we can forget memories we've made
in our lives and others, in the past now gone away.

We seek the greener grass without consideration
that others must still live with the results of our creations

And some of those choices can never be amended
And there are still sins that can never be repented.

We are beings of truth and light clothed in earthly flesh
Subject to our wants and needs prone to emptiness

And all our works and deeds can disappear without a trace
to leave us to God's judgment by His mercy and His grace.
