Wooden Heart

Someplace we could look through to gain
a new perspective on how to view life and our fellow man.

Heart Lake

Heart Lake
I recommend camping alongside Heart Lake in Olympic National Park. You can hike there on High Divide Trail, enjoying old-growth forests and subalpine meadows—and perhaps catching a glimpse of black bear or Roosevelt elk . After the trip, you can enjoy a soak in the hot springs at the Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort. The resort is closed until late spring, so this one is a great trip to give as a gift for down the road.

Someplace we could camp, a place where cloudy mist rrolls back to reveal reflections of sky and trees in the waters of life.

Heart Mountain

Heart Mountain, someplace we could climb to.  Maybe it represents the greatest achievement in life, caring for another more than oneself, and making it a journey together.  The most enduring cause in life is loving.  Some of us love without hope. Maybe Heart Mountain and all the other repetitions of the heart shape in the natural world are God's way of showing us where our priorities should be with eternity as our perspective.

Climbing Heart Mountain

Heart Mountain is a mountain located in the Bow River valley just south of Exshaw, Alberta. The peak was named in 1957 for the heart shaped layer of limestone near the top.
The summit can be reached by following the northwest ridge starting from the Heart Creek Trail. It is an easy scramble with one moderate step. Being in the front ranges and only an hour from Calgary, it sees many visitors year-round. A circuit route can be completed by following the ridge line as it circles left and then descends to Quaite Creek.

TCW

Some of us still suffer under the burden of illusions of what love really is and what it is about.

It is easy to wrap our dreams around someone who seems to fit into them, and so very hard to break free from those dreams or change them once we have pinned them to someone or something.

It is important to differentiate those feelings and illusions they bring from what really is and can be.

Why are there so many
songs about rainbows
And
what's on the other side
Rainbows
are visions
But
only illusions
And
rainbows have nothing to hide
So
we've been told
And
some choose to believe it
I
know they're wrong, wait and see
Some
day we'll find it
The
rainbow connection
The
lovers, the dreamers, and me

Who
said that every wish

Would be heard and answered
When wished on the morning star

Somebody thought of that
And someone believed it
And look what it's done so far

What's so amazing
That keeps us stargazing
And what do we think
we might see

Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers,
and me
All of us under its spell,
we know that it's probably magic

Have you been half asleep?
And have you heard voices?
I've heard them calling my name
Is this the sweet sound
That called the young sailors?
The voice might be one in the same
I've heard it too many times
to ignore it
It's something that I'm supposed to be
Someday we'll find it
The rainbow connection
The lovers, the dreamers and me
