I snowboard the old fashioned way, with sleds and inner tubes.
I ride scooters with my kids instead of skateboards. I like hiking in the great outdoors,
and that is my main sports interest.
I would love to be friends with everyone, but not everyone defines friendship
the same way I do.
Jury nullification has to do with the power of people to make joint decisions, aka the popular vote. Popular votes have often resulted in the deaths of innocent people.
I question the ability of America or any other nation to produce an unbiased jury in any court case.
Every contact we make with other people, every action we take is being tried in a bigger court than we can even imagine. Our judge is God.
Whether we ever reach the mortal court and a trial by jury or not we are still held accountable for every action and every motive of our hearts. My community is my jury of peers. On the internet people often misrepresent themselves, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not. The struggle is, to maintain equilibrium in the face of the constant probing of people without faces or names for identification.
The community may be raging now, but everyone is being sifted and discovered for who and what they really are. Who among us is without flaw? For now only God knows that for sure, but the way things are progressing with the internet, the vile thoughts of many are being exposed to view.
I am so grateful, that the treasures of many are also being shown as well. Maybe in the end that will balance out the ugly and sordid, shameful information brought into view through the countless eyes of the internet. I can only hope this will be the case.
