LocalHikes - Ensign Peak Trail and Overlook
This is one of the places I want to hike with the kids this year. I like going to historical places and imagining the thoughts and views and feelings of other people who might have stood in the same place years before us. I think by retracing the footsteps of people who came before us, we are finding our own place in history, our relevance. We can't always be worshiping the new and untried.
There is nothing new under the sun. Good works are, were, and always will be good works. Sin and evil will always be sin and evil no matter how they disguise themselves and no matter how popular they become or how tolerant and receptive public opinion becomes toward them.
If we keep reaching for that right point of view, the motivation to do good works continually and the ability then it was all worth it. Someday I hope to look on a world where all is well and happiness and contentment abound. Wouldn't I love to see that day!
