Boundaries

I did not want Frank's involvement in my family.
I did not want the endless pushing of boundaries.
It is going on constantly among our family members.
Invasions cause family feelings to eventually drain away and disintegrate.
So does sarcasm in all its myriad forms.
My family is in the condition it is in because of invasions, general lack of respect.

Never my dream

It was never my dream
to date the captain of a football team
or be the leader who cheers him on
or lead the crowds in a victory song

I don't want to be the star of the arena
or the theatre's grand prima ballerina
I just want be good and kind
and leave no mess behind

So I'm willing to love you forever
