Your text goes here...

"The Sound Of Silence"

H
ello darkness, my old friend,
I
've come to talk with you again,
B
ecause a vision softly creeping,
L
eft its seeds while I was sleeping,
A
nd the vision that was planted in my brain
S
till remainsWithin the sound of silence.
I
n restless dreams I walked alone
N
arrow streets of cobblestone,
'
Neath the halo of a street lamp,
I
turned my collar to the cold and damp
W
hen my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
T
hat split the night
A
nd touched the sound of silence.
A
nd in the naked light I sawTen thousand people, maybe more.
P
eople talking without speaking,
P
eople hearing without listening,People writing songs that voices never share
A
nd no one dared
D
isturb the sound of silence.

"
Fools," said I, "You do not know.Silence like a cancer grows.
H
ear my words that I might teach you.
T
ake my arms that I might reach you."But my words like silent raindrops fell
A
nd echoed in the wells of silence
A
nd the people bowed and prayed
T
o the neon god they made.
A
nd the sign flashed out its warning
I
n the words that it was forming.
A
nd the sign said,
"
The words of the prophets are written on the subway walls
A
nd tenement halls
A
nd whispered in the sounds of silence."
