Level 3 : Exceeds Objectives The writing describes the picture well. It is detailed and contains at least three sentences. The writer included descriptive or unique ideas. (5 points) 

Level 2 : Meets Objectives The writing describes the picture. The sentences tell about washing the car, and there are at least two sentences. (4 points) 

Level 1 : Doesn’t Meet Objectives The writing does not describe the picture. It may or may not tell about washing the car and has one or no complete sentences. (3 points)

At least two sentences begin with a capital letter and end with a mark of punctuation. Most sentences contain a complete thought. (4 points)

Level 1 : Doesn’t Meet Objectives
Most word groups are not complete sentences. They don’t tell a complete thought or begin with a capital letter or end with proper punctuation. (3 points)
