Silver Falls

In 1996 while my husband and I still had two small children, we visited Silver Falls
in Marion County, Oregon and we walked behind the waterfall.  I enjoy waterfalls.
I probably didn't get as much enjoyment out of the experience at that time as I should have.

I was afraid my children would fall of an edge somewhere.  Many of the places we went
with rocks and cliffs and sharp edges were like that for me.  It is a mom thing I guess.

I couldn't make my troubled thoughts understood, but the waterfall was beautiful, and the kids didn't fall off the edges or drown.  At the time, I just wanted my children in the safest place I could think of, and that place was home.
