I'll look for you in yesterday
long ago and far away
somewhere in my mind
in the memories left behind

When you were you and I was me
and we were who we're supposed to be
and i loved you.  You didn't know
how I felt that long ago.

it's good you never knew
or cared what I was going through
It set the stage for here somehow
and what we're going through right now.

So I'll look for you in yesterday
and love the you so far away
and keep alive the memory
of us as we were meant to be...
