Authority and religious oppression
How often is religious oppression the source of great upheaval and changes in the world? A person's beliefs are a key part of his/her personality and the motivation that inspires and guides them. Challenging those beliefs brings great distress, and gives them a cause to call negative attention to authoritarian figures.
