Brightly Beams Our Father's Mercy A Cappella

This was Dad's favorite hymn. Once Dad crossed the ocean to Japan in a ship. A storm came and the waves were so high and the turbulence so great the ship seemed fragile and in danger of taking water and sinking. It was a time Dad prayed for God's mercy and this hymn reminded him of the many times he received mercy and how precious life is.

Avoidance

I want to avoid whomsoever I can't please
I don't want to have poison thoughts around me
I want to be in a good place $or you and I
I want a good place to live and die

4Sep2017

Today I worked all day on papers, photographing them andtearing them up. The loneliness I feel from them is so intense, so hard to bear.

Fireworks

When we were young, in the wonder years
Summers would bring the warm nights
When we found relief from the heat of day
And the stars and the moon were our lights.

And we went to the park in July
To watch the jeweled displays
Safe with our parents close by
Watching fireworks bursting away

And the sky filled with  colored fiery rain
And smoky clouds drifted away
Lifting my heart for a time and  space
Bringing a dream for another day

15 Aug 2017, Alex Birthday

Today and yesterday we moved the safes downstairs. Alex worked the hardest. Amber and Duncan took Alex out for his birthday.

August 11 2017

The wind is coming up. Its 1 in the morning and I'm sitting on the patio feeling the wind sweep past.

Soon I will go back to bed.

The Crickets are loud but in the winter it will be silent out here no crickets no birds and only Frosty air and snow all around.

I love balmy nights of summer. I will miss them.

Thinking of you

Every day I think of you
My someone to hold
to love and to talk to
I think of you by day and night
When you are close or beyond my sight
I believe angels brought you to me
Opened my eyes and helped me see
The wonder of you, the hope you bring
My prayers reached ears that were listening
And I love you more than you'll ever know
I long to hold you forever
But even if this time is all we have
I'm so happy we have this time together

Sea of Tranquility Afghan

I think I understand some things about this pattern now. I've always wanted to make a ripple afghan and I think I will if I can ever have this pattern. It is a knitted pattern designed for size 10 knitting needles

Donna Taggart - Bright Blue Rose (Official Music Video)

Bright Blue Rose
Mary Black

Lyrics
I skimmed across black water
Without once submerging
Onto the banks of an urban morning
That hungers the first light
Much, much more than mountains ever do
And she, like a ghost beside me
Goes down with the ease of a dolphin
And emerges unlearned, unshamed, unharmed

For she is the perfect creature, natural in every feature
And I am the geek with the alchemists' stone
For all of you who must discover
For all who seek to understand
For having left the path of others
You'll find a very special hand

And it is a holy thing
And it is a precious time
And it is the only way

Forget-me-nots among the snow
It's always been, and so it goes
To ponder his death and his life eternally
For all of you who must discover
For all who seek to understand
For having left the path of others
You'll find a very special hand

And it is a holy thing
And it is a precious time
And it is the only way

Forget-me-nots among the snow
It's always been, and so it goes
To ponder his death and his life eternally
One bright blue rose outlives all those
Two thousand years, and still it goes
To ponder his death and his life eternally

Christy Moore - Black Is The Colour

Black is the Color
Black is the color of my true love`s hair
Her lips are like some roses fair
She`s the sweetest face and the gentlest hands.
I love the ground whereon she stands

I love my love and well she knows
I love the ground whereon she goes.
But some times I wish the day will come
That she and I will be as one

Black is the color of my true love`s hair
Her lips are like some roses fair
She`s the sweetest face and the gentlest hands.
I love the ground whereon she stands

I walk to the Clyde for to mourn and weep
But satisfied I never can sleep
I'll write her a letter, just a few short lines
And suffer death ten thousand times

Black is the color of my true love`s hair
Her lips are like some roses fair
She`s the sweetest face and the gentlest hands.
I love the ground whereon she stands
